On Mar. 8, Alan Keyes appeared on KLIF Radio's Greg Knapp Show--which originates in Dallas--to promote the upcoming Ten Commandments Texas Rally, slated for Apr. 3rd at the Dallas Convention Center.

Honored guest speaker at the event will be Chief Justice Roy Moore. Featured speakers will be Dr. Keyes and Dr. Rick Scarborough.

Asked the purpose of the rally, Dr. Keyes responded:

"Well, the purpose of the rally will be to bring people together. There's been, I think, around the country a strong reaction against what the courts are now doing to try to take all references to our religious heritage and God out of every aspect of American public and political life, culminating in episodes like the one in Alabama, where they went after the Chief Justice for having the Ten Commandments in the Supreme Judicial Building."

Dr. Keyes continued:

"There is a remedy. We can get Congress to limit the jurisdiction of the federal courts and get them out of the business of acting as moral and religious censors in this matter."

He then added:

"And so, we're working with people around the country at the grassroots to organize rallies, disseminate the information, and to get people involved in the effort to get congressional action."

Dr. Keyes then explained how Congress is authorized--under Article 3, Section 2, of the Constitution--to regulate the federal courts. He also defended the actions of former Chief Justice Moore in defying an unlawful court order by a federal judge Myron Thompson in the Alabama Ten Commandments case, last year.

Dr. Keyes ended by telling listeners how they can get involved in the rally.
